Mac users can go to the System Settings, as there is an update to macOS Ventura waiting. In macOS Ventura 13.2.1, as in other updates, Apple has made important security improvements and bug fixes.

It's another classic update evening at Apple, because all major devices have received a software update. For the Mac, that is macOS Ventura 13.2.1. In the update, Apple talks about “major bug fixes and security updates”, just like with the other updates for the iPhone and iPad. That means updating quickly if your Mac is suitable.

It is not clear which exact bug fixes Apple has fixed. Fortunately, more is known about the security aspect of the update. Apple has fixed three security vulnerabilities in the update, namely the kernel, Shortcuts and WebKit. The vulnerability in WebKit (the engine behind Safari) is the most important. Malicious web content could execute malicious code due to the leak. Apple says it is aware that this vulnerability has been actively exploited, although we do not know how many cases it concerns. To continue to protect yourself, it is therefore important to install the update quickly.

Download macOS Ventura 13.2.1
You download macOS Ventura 13.2.1 from the System Settings. This app has been given a new name and layout, but otherwise works the same. You can therefore download this update as follows:
- Go to System Settings.
- Click on General > Software update.
- The Mac will now automatically check for the latest version. Click Download and Install to download the update.
