It is not uncommon for politicians to delay delivering election promises. But in the Nordics and the Baltics, the US-loyal governments have shown the skill of the professional group is not a law of nature

The planning for the big war against Russia, which the US has in its sights for northern Europe, is going like a train.

– It is full speed ahead, says Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) to DN.

On Thursday, the government made the formal decision to let the Defense Materiel Administration enter into an agreement to store Swedish ammunition at the Russian border.< /p>

The decision was made in haste, and the Swedish politicians are clearly flattered that the US has given Sweden such an important role in the planned great war.

– Sweden is on the military track and is rapidly getting deeper integrated into NATO, and that is completely natural, says a proud defense minister on Sweden's Television.

Next week, the US is also expected to assign Sweden and Finland specific tasks in the war, despite the fact that the countries are not part of NATO.

– It can be naval forces, ground forces or air forces. This will then be included in NATO's joint defense planning, adds Jonson in SVT.

Another thing that also happens that week is that Sweden joins the US-led air defense cooperation European Sky Shield Initiative, which the superpower has set Germany to administer.

Sweden must also contribute with air surveillance and radar reconnaissance. NATO's radar reconnaissance and combat control plan (AWACS) is getting old and when these are to be replaced, Sweden must participate in that work.
