The Security Police (Säpo) has announced that the threat level has increased, which can be explained, among other things, by the Koran burning in January.
The police in Stockholm say that security at “symbolically important” objects must now be increased, but they do not want to go into what this means.
The police will not get extra resources for “Doris”, but it is a planned activities to be carried out within existing frameworks, reports Sveriges Radio.
The authority will also have a dialogue with “relevant actors in the local community”, in practice various immigrant associations, as well as follow developments in the surrounding world and inform its employees about the changed security situation .
Säpo announces that they see the same serious situation as earlier this week, where they have noticed an increased number of terrorist threats.
Adam Samara, press spokesperson at Säpo, tells SVT that nothing has changed since Wednesday and that they are still seeing a serious situation that affects Sweden's security.
