Foreign. The parents of conservative Canadian YouTube profile Lauren Southern have been banned from Airbnb's booking and rental platform. According to the company, this is due to their daughter, who has criticized the immigration policy, Junge Freiheit reports.

Journalist Lauren Southern is perhaps best known for her 2019 documentary 'Borderless', which is about how illegal immigrants from the third world are smuggled into Europe.
Now her parents are not allowed longer use Airbnb.
“We have removed you from the platform because your account is strongly associated with a person who is not allowed to use Airbnb. This means that you will no longer be able to make bookings in the future,” the American company wrote to Southern's parents, according to a screenshot that profile shares on Twitter.
According to Lauren Southern, she herself was banned from using Airbnb several years ago because of her political involvement and “associations with certain groups” that the company did not specify at the time.
She is surprised by the company's decision to suspend her parents as well.
“They have never made a booking for me and do not represent me. They also do not publicly speak politically at all. How is this in any way reasonable?”, writes the 27-year-old profile on Twitter.
” “My mom and dad are the kindest people I know. They were just planning a romantic getaway. They're not political activists,” she continues.
Lauren Southern has the support of many other users on Twitter. The daughter of the well-known psychologist Jordan Peterson, Mikhaila Peterson, writes that Airbnb has now reached “a new low.” Jake Shields, an American MMA practitioner, tweeted that it all “sounds like North Korea”.
