Apple has given its website a small but handy update. The menu has been given a new design, with which you can go directly to relevant pages. But in the Dutch version quite a few pages are missing.

Of course you can visit iCulture for all information about Apple, but to buy a new iPhone you have to go to Apple or another point of sale. Apple’s website offers you access to various product categories via the menu, but to go to a specific product you always had to go to the product category first. Apple has addressed that with the website update. The menu now expands automatically as soon as you move your cursor over an item. On mobile, Apple has also updated the menu. But even more has changed.
Apple website gets a new menu
If you keep your cursor on the iPhone heading, a menu will immediately pop out where you can jump straight to, for example, the iPhone 14 Pro or the iPhone SE pages. It saves an extra click from how it was before. In addition, in this new menu, Apple immediately links to other relevant sections for that category, such as the general purchase page or the page about iOS 16. This new drop-down menu applies to all separate sections, from Mac to TV & Home and from iPad to Support. Apple's support website also recently received a major update.

In addition to the new menu, Apple has also tinkered with the structure of the menu. The heading Only at Apple (which includes the services) has been renamed to Entertainment. This includes pages such as Apple Music, Apple Arcade and Apple TV+. Because the heading is now exclusively about entertainment, pages about Apple Pay and iCloud have therefore been moved to other categories, such as iPhone. In addition, the menu now also colors with the page you are viewing, so that the menu can sometimes be white. On mobile you will find the menu in the top right, after which you can tap on the categories to view the underlying pages.

Many pages are missing on Dutch website
When comparing the Dutch version's menu to the US page, we noticed some notable differences. For example, the Dutch website lacks a page for Siri and AirPlay, for example. Apple also has no explanation in Dutch about the Home app. That is remarkable, since all these parts are simply available in the Netherlands. The possible reason that these pages are missing from us is that not every function of the relevant part works in the Netherlands. For example, not all brands of TVs with AirPlay are for sale in the Netherlands, Siri speaks less in Dutch than in English and Apple sells fewer HomeKit accessories with us.
Fortunately, you can read everything about these topics with us. Knowing more? Check out the links below:
