Who's playing who?

The Philadelphia Eagles meet the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles represent the National Football League (NFC), the Chiefs the American Football League (AFC). In the Super Bowl, the two best teams from these two conferences always compete against each other. The Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC final, and the Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC final.

It is the Eagles' first Super Bowl appearance since winning five years ago. The Chiefs last played two years ago when they lost to Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs have two Super Bowl wins to date, while the Eagles have one.

When is the game?

The game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, USA. Arizona and starts at 4:30 p.m. local time. In Germany, the kickoff is 12:30 a.m. on Monday night.

Who's the favorite?

The betting providers see the Philadelphia Eagles just ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs. The German football professionals Jakob Johnson from the Las Vegas Raiders and Amon-Ra St. Brown also bet on the Eagles in an interview with the German Press Agency. “Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a little better than Jalen Hurts, but the whole team is better with the Eagles, so they're my favorites,” St. Brown said. The Philadelphia Eagles, who compete in their dark green jerseys, have home rights in the game. The guest chiefs had to adapt and play in white.

What are the names of the quarterbacks of the two teams?

24-year-old Jalen Hurts is the playmaker for the Eagles, while the Chiefs are attacking via Patrick Mahomes, who is three years his senior. Hurts has played an outstanding season so far, many wish him the MVP title as the most valuable player of the main round – even though even his own fans were very skeptical at the beginning of the season.

Mahomes, on the other hand, has been beyond any doubt for years and, according to many experts, is the best quarterback in the league. Ever since Mahomes became a regular, the Chiefs have always made at least the Conference Finals. In February 2020 he got his first win in the Super Bowl, a year later there was a defeat against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers around Tom Brady.

Who is the star at halftime this time?

Rihanna performs. The R&B and pop singer from Barbados has already won nine Grammys in her career – and four years ago she refused an engagement for the halftime show at the Super Bowl. At the time she justified her no with the handling of the NFL with quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who got on one knee while playing the national anthem in protest against police violence and racism in the USA and subsequently became an undesirable person in the league.

Had publicly expressed Rihanna hasn't committed to it yet, which is why she's now appearing at the world's largest single sport event. It can't be due to a hefty fee from the league – the stars don't get paid for the performance. However, the advertising value and the hype is enormous, so it's definitely worth it financially anyway When the NFL ticket lottery came into play, it was in the cheapest category at around 600 dollars (almost 558 euros). On the secondary market, on the other hand, significantly more is due, below 5000 dollars it becomes difficult. For the very noble VIP tickets, on the other hand, the prices are more like 50,000 dollars and up.
