In 2022, registrations of electric vehicles in Europe grew by 29% compared to 2021. According to the new report by Jato Dynamics, there were, overall, 1.56 million registrations. Nearly 14 out of 100 new cars registered in Europe last year had a 100% electric powertrain (13.9% market share).
Overall, Electric, Plug-in and Fuel Cell models scored 2.59 million registrations in Europe during 2022. Felipe Munoz, analyst at Jato Dynamics, commented on this trend:
The rapid growth in the demand for electric vehicles is a major factor in the growth of electric vehicles. the consequence of continued government support through incentives and a shift in consumer sentiment due to growing awareness of the product offering available.
BAD ITALY 
The report also highlights the trend in electric vehicle sales in the countries of the Old Continent. It is hardly surprising to find Norway in first place, a country where BEV models achieved a 79% market share in 2022. Followed by Sweden (33%), Holland (23%) and Denmark (21%), and then Finland, Switzerland and Germany with 18%.
And Italy< /strong>? In our country, the share of electric companies stops at just 3.7%. The most relevant, however, is that Italy is the only European market to record a declinebetween 2021 and 2022.
THE ELECTRIC VEHICLES? SOLD IN 2022 IN EUROPE 
Coming to the ranking of >electric cars more; sold in Europe 2022, in first place we find the Tesla Model Y which with 137,052 registrations detaches the Tesla Model 3 which stops at 91,475 units; registered. Third step of the podium for the Volkswagen ID.4 which closed 2022 with 67,490 registrations. The electric Fiat 500 did very well with fourth place in this ranking.

Then we have Tesla and the Stellantis Group with 232,018 and 230,383 registrations. Following are the Hyundai-Kia Group, the Renault Group and the BMW Group.
