The money is used to improve the family's quality of life and rehabilitation for the girl, including a specially adapted car.

Six personal assistants will also be on site with the support of the Social Insurance Agency.

Luna's aunt, Emma, tells local media that it is difficult to describe the feelings when so many people have contributed to the collection.

She hopes that the collection creates security for Luna's future life and that she will able to do things that society does not otherwise allow funds for.

The compensation that the 15-year-old African was sentenced to pay to Luna, 730,000 kroner, cannot, according to the family, compensate for the loss even of future income from a working life like the girl now doesn't seem to be able to have.
