The government promises to crack down on “misinformation” about social services

Domestic. There are “rumors” spreading among immigrants that Swedish social services can take care of children who grow up in the country without any special evidence. Now the government promises to counter the “misinformation” about the municipal authorities.

– I want to be clear that Swedish legislation does not discriminate against gender or religion. I also want to be clear that Swedish social services do not kidnap any children. Social services are welfare's ultimate safety net. Therefore, the disinformation campaign is unacceptable and the government is now taking action against the disinformation and the spread of rumours, says Camilla Waltersson Grönvall, minister of social services.

A legal council referral to enable the use of security guards to strengthen the power of social secretaries is now on its way from the government.

Anyone who says something negative about social workers should also be able to be convicted of a crime, as “insulting an official” is criminalized.

The number of family homes is currently growing rapidly and is an industry on the rise. In 2020 alone, decisions were made about compulsory care according to the LVU for a total of 3,486 children in Sweden, which is significantly higher than the other Nordic countries combined.
