Xpeng G9, the electric SUV debuts in Europe

Xpeng had announced the arrival of two new electric models for the European market. As expected, the G9 SUV and an updated version of the P7 sedan are officially making their debut. These cars are already; available for order in Denmark, Norway, Holland and Sweden. Speaking of prices, taking the Dutch market as a reference, the Xpeng G9 model starts at 57,990 euros, while the new P7 sedan from 49,990 euros.

Deliveries of the updated P7 will begin in June, while those of the G9 should starting in September.

XPENG G9

The SUV measures 4,891 mm long x 1,937 mm wide x 1,680 high, with a wheelbase of 2,998 mm. The trunk offers a capacity; of 660 liters which rise to 1,576 liters by folding down the backrests of the rear seats. This model is offered in 3 variants: RWD Standard Range, RWD Long Range and AWD Performance.

The RWD versions can count on a single 230 kW electric motor with 430 Nm of torque. The speed maximum is 200 km/h, while going from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.4 seconds. In the Standard Range we find a 78.2 kWh LFP battery which allows a range of up to 460 km (WLTP). Thanks to the 800 V architecture, it is very easy to operate. It is possible to recharge in direct current up to a peak power of 260 kW. In alternating current, on the other hand, up to 11 kW. In the Long Range, on the other hand, it is; there is a 98 kWh NCM battery capable of range up to 570 km (WLTP). With this accumulator it will be possible; It is possible to fill up with direct current energy up to a maximum power of 300 kW.

Then we have the AWD Performance version with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. In this case, there are 405 kW available with 717 Nm of torque. Speed ​​& maximum speed is still 200 km/h, but it takes just 3.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. We still find the 98 kWh battery for a maximum range of up to 520 km (WLTP).

The Xpeng P9 also has a lot of technology on board as well as an advanced driving assistance system XPILOT which can rely on 29 sensors including millimeter wave radar, ultrasonic sensors and cameras. The SUV supports OTA updates.

XPENG P7

The new version of the Xpeng P7 introduces some small innovations; in the equipment as well as, above all, for the powertrain. Its measurements are 4,888 mm long x 1,896 mm wide x 1,450 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,998 mm. The boot has a capacity; of 440 litres. The electric sedan is offered in 2 versions: RWD Long Range and AWD Performance. To these is added the special Wing Edition version.

RWD Long Range can count on a single 203 kW electric motor with 440 Nm of torque. The speed maximum reaches 200 km/h, while it takes 6.7 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The whole is powered by an 82.7 kWh NCM battery (usable) which allows a range (WLTP) of up to 576 km. In direct current, the accumulator can be recharged up to a maximum power of 175 kW. In alternating current up to 11 kW.

The AWD Perfomance model and the Wing Edition have a powertrain with dual 348 kW electric motors with 757 Nm of maximum torque. Speed ​​& maximum speed of 200 km/h and 4.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h from standstill. The battery does not change but the range drops to 505 km (WLTP).

The Xpeng P7 also features the advanced XPILOT system and OTA updates.
