Goal that of going to install over 15,000 recharging points for electric cars in about 250 car parks by 2025. This is the the summary of the agreement between FS Sistemi Urbani, a company of the FS Group, and Class Onlus. The objective of this agreement is to that of "supporting mobility – green and ensure the interchange between train and car”.
According to what has been said, the charging infrastructure will be built close to the railway stations of urban centres. In this way, all those who go to a railway station will be able to find a recharging socket where they can refuel their electric vehicle.
These car parks will become real intermodal hubswhere people will be able to safely recharge their vehicles as they reach their destination by train. The exact location of the charging points is shown in the charts. currently under study with the involvement of local administrations but, as mentioned, the plan should be completed by 2025.

It is worth noting that in addition to this project dedicated to charging stations for electric cars, the FS Group has launched a public tender for 130 million euros to build twenty photovoltaic plants. Indeed, the Group's objective is to that of arriving at 2027 to cover 40% of its energy needs thanks to photovoltaics. Umberto Lebruto, Chief Executive Officer of FS Sistemi Urbani, commented:

The goal is to be able, by 2025, to install over 15,000 charging stations and photovoltaic panels in the rail-road interchange parking areas, connecting them to the local communities; energy created with the Municipalities. In this way, many electric motorists will be able to go to the stations, find a reserved and equipped car park for recharging, travel or commute and return in the evening to find their vehicle with a charged battery.
