Domestic. Police chief Mats Löfving has been notified of suspicion of gross misconduct in connection with the appointment of Linda Staaf. That's what the prosecutor writes in a press release.

Löfving has been served with suspicion and heard about gross misconduct in connection with an appointment case in 2015, and misconduct in a decision on the allocation of service weapons in 2020.
He denies the crimes.
Linda Staaf is also questioned about both incidents. In addition, a number of witnesses have been questioned.
– I will not comment further on what was said or the state of evidence in the preliminary investigation, says deputy chief prosecutor Bengt Åsbäck.
The preliminary investigation continues. Several witnesses remain to be interrogated and continuous analyzes of the digital evidence obtained are also being carried out.
It is not possible to give any forecast as to when the preliminary investigation may be finished, the prosecutor continues.
Since the relationship between Mats Löfving and Linda Staaf was revealed by the website Stoppa Pressarna, regional police chief Löfving has been reassigned.
If the police take any further measures when he has been served with suspicion of crime, it is still “too early to answer”, the police write in an email to SVT.
