With an 11-minute gameplay video, Bethesda not only shows much of the content and game mechanics of the vampire coop shooter Redfall, but also mentions the release date: May 2nd, 2023 the game exclusively for the PC and the Xbox Series X as well as the Xbox Series S. The PlayStation is left out.
Fight against vampires, alone or together
The plot is told quickly: The fictional island town of Redfall in the US state of Massachusetts has been overrun by vampires who have blocked the sun and taken over. Players take on the role of vampire hunters to end their reign.
You can take action against the bloodsuckers with up to three friends in both single-player and co-op mode. Starting from the base station, missions can be completed and vampire nests visited. The latter should change again and again to provide variety.
As befits a shooter, various weapons are part of the hunter's equipment. In addition to classic guns, this also includes pointed tools for impaling the undead. The video also shows weapons with UV light, which is not good for the monsters.
Four heroes to start
< p class="p text-width">Four different heroes are available to match the number of co-op players, each with individual skills that can be expanded over the course of the game.

The inventive cryptid hunter and Internet starlet Devinder “Dev” Crousley ended up in Redfall by accident with the right equipment. Ex-soldier Jacob Boyer takes on the role of the sniper with “Psi Ravens”, while Remi de la Rosa is responsible for (remote-controlled) technology. More heroes will be added later.

Release date and platforms
On May 2nd, 2023 and thus as promised in the first half of the year, Redfall will be released exclusively for the PC and the Xbox Series X as well as the Xbox Series S, each also via the game pass. Thus, the two platforms of the parent company Microsoft are served, but not Sony's PlayStation. Pre-orders and Game Pass subscribers receive in-game bonuses.
