Once in a while, Apple releases a new iOS and iPadOS update for people with a somewhat older model. These are models that can no longer be updated to the latest version (currently iOS 16 and iPadOS 16), but are used regularly. Consider, for example, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s series, which have only been unable to be updated to the latest major update since last September. Especially for those people, there is now iOS 15.7.3 and iPadOS 15.7.3.
Update 22:15: In addition to iOS 15.7.3 and iPadOS 15.7, Apple has. 3 also released iOS 12.5.7. This is build number 16H81 and contains important security updates. iOS 12.5.7 is available for these models:

The iPhone 5s was first released in September 2013, which means that this device has been around for almost 9.5 years. old.
In addition to the iPhones and iPads, Apple has also released security updates for older macOS devices. These are macOS Monterey 12.6.3 and macOS Big Sur 11.7.3. The updates solve, among other things, a security problem with WebKit, Apple's engine behind the Safari browser. iOS 15.7.3 also addresses security issues with the kernel (the source of the operating system) and an issue with Maps that could allow an app to bypass privacy preferences.

The update will therefore only appear on devices that cannot be updated to iOS 16 and newer. It concerns these models:
- iPhone 6s (Plus)
- iPhone 7 (Plus)
- iPhone SE (1st generation, 2016)
- iPod touch (7th generation, 2019)
For iPad, you can download iPadOS 15.7.3 on these models:
- iPad mini 4
- iPad Air 2
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > General > Software update. Wait until the update appears.
- Tap Download and install.
- Wait until your device has restarted and the installation is complete.
