While the Chinese New Year Sale is surprisingly running on Steam, less than three weeks after the end of the winter discount campaign, the New Year Sale, which is not only more general in name, is taking place on GOG. And there's also a free game.

Many discounts and a free game

Numerous offers can be found in the DRM-free store GOG until January 30, 2023 as part of a promotion to mark the beginning of the new year. In contrast to the current discount campaign on Steam, it is not primarily games that come from or address the Chinese cultural area that are reduced, but the full range. There are separate shop pages with current discounts for role-playing games and indie titles, among other things.

In addition, the indie game Haven Park, which was released in August 2021, is available for free until January 23 at 3:00 p.m., which would otherwise usually cost 8.49 euros. In the adventure with role-playing elements, players slip into the shoes of the boy Flint and have to take care of his grandmother's camping park after she has outgrown the job.
