It is a woman who bought underwear at the department store giant who draws attention to a note sewn into the panties on social media.
“Think of the environment. Please air instead of washing”, it is stated in the call from Åhléns, who immediately afterwards announced that the panties were made in China.
The woman who posted the picture, which has been widely circulated on social media, writes:
“Panties bought at Åhléns. Check out the washing instructions. I'm dying.”
The department store has returned with a comment to TV4 about the incident:
“A short explanation is that many of our panties are included in ' program' together with either, for example, a soft top or a tank top, and that what then happened is that the panties were accidentally given the same washing advice tag as the tops,” writes Monica Hultgren Andersson, communicator at Åhléns, to the TV channel.
