Economy. Housing prices in Sweden have now fallen by around 15 percent since last spring. This is shown by the latest measurements from Swedish Mäklarstatistik.

During December, prices for condominiums decreased by -1% and villa prices by -3%.
Since the peak quotations in March/April 2022, condominium prices in the country have fallen by -14% and villa prices by -15%.
The prices of condominiums in the country are now at the same level as in January 2020. But if inflation is taken into account, the prices in real terms are even lower, states Swedish Real Estate Statistics.
— It has been a challenging year for both home sellers and real estate agents. December is normally a weak month on the housing market, which this year ended in a minor way with falling prices on all reported markets, says Jonas Rosén, CEO of Mäklarsamfundet.
