Apple Watch band too small
We regularly receive reports from readers who notice that the sports band of the Apple Watch or another type of watch band does not fit. Often it is because the watch strap is too small. Fortunately, there are several ways to solve it.
#1 Use a larger sport band
For the connoisseurs it may be a piece of cake, but there are people who do not know that you get two sizes with the sports band. The ‘spare part’ is included in the packaging, but we can imagine you might overlook it at first. Especially if you bought a white sports band, the extra part hardly stands out among the papers you receive.

Remove the short part of the sport band and attach the longer part. The sports bands that come with the 45mm Apple Watch are suitable for a wrist of up to 210mm in circumference. If you need a larger strap, you can choose the XL strap, which we will discuss later.
#2 Choose a larger size Apple Watch
If you have large wrists, the 41mm Apple Watch will probably look a bit teeny. In that case you better opt for the 45mm model, because this larger watch case comes with longer straps. You could also consider the Apple Watch Ultra, because it's even bigger. The thickness of your wrist determines which model suits you best. If you have very slim wrists, the 41mm Apple Watch might suit you better.
The larger Apple Watch comes with a slightly longer watch strap. The larger models also have a larger screen resolution and a longer battery life.

#4 Choose an XL strap or use extra links
There are also Apple Watch straps in size XL, especially for people with larger wrists. You can buy the sport band XL separately for €49,- (only in Middernacht). The woven sports band is also available in XL (also only Midnight). These separately available straps are suitable for wrists of up to 245mm in circumference!
With the link bracelet you can buy an extension set to make the link bracelet of the Apple Watch larger. This ensures that you can wear the watch on wrists with a circumference of up to 245 mm.

#5 Look at third parties
Apple's offer is nice, but it only takes into account the common sizes. Meanwhile, the range of third party watch straps has grown enormously. There are also models that take into account very large or very small wrists. You may be better off with another brand than with Apple. In any case, you have much more choice.

Bonus tip: Apple Watch watch bands for slim wrists
If you have very slim wrists, you have a different problem. Even the smallest hole in the watch strap can still be too wide. In that case, choose a 38mm/40mm/41mm Apple Watch watch strap for people with narrow wrists. With the 41mm strap with Modern Buckle you can even choose from three sizes, including a Small size for wrists between 135mm and 150mm. Especially with small wrists, it is best to also look at Asian brands, because these manufacturers take this more into account.
