ComputerBase Forum – Annual Review 2022

Also this year, ComputerBase has taken on a review of the ComputerBase forum and the most read reader articles from the category “From the community”. All threads and discussions that had editorial content as their origin were not taken into account.

A tradition is going to the third round

< p class="p text-width">After the annual review of the topics and readers' articles from the ComputerBase forum celebrated its premiere two years ago and became a firm tradition last year, it will be continued this year.

The readers' articles of the year 2022

The ten most read reader articles of the year

In the reader articles written by the forum members from the community, the detailed FAQ for CPU coolers from “Captain Mumpitz” was able to reach the top of the ranking and ended up attracting the most hits.

“Taron” secured second place with his reader's article “8 cores and 10 years”, which sends an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X with 8 cores and two Intel Xeon X5460s that are ten years older, with a total of 8 cores, into a CPU duel.

3rd place went to “agon”'s “[How-To] Install Arch Linux”, which shows how users install, encrypt, harden and last but not least the modular distribution can also be made suitable for games.

The editors of ComputerBase would like to thank all tireless readers and helpers from the forum and would like to know what their “forum plans” for the year 2023 look like. For their part, the editors are planning to put community topics on the start page again for 2023 and to provide a platform for high-quality and exciting topics from the community.

The community will also be written in capital letters in 2023

In the comments and reactions to this article, the editors would particularly appreciate ideas, wishes and plans for the community of the ComputerBase forum in 2023.

Which areas should be further expanded and what could go even better? Are there subject areas or functions that the community is still missing? And what was your very personal highlight in the 2022 forum?

Until then: Happy New Year!
