ThinkVision VoIP: Lenovo equips IPS monitors for video conferences

Working from home, including video conferencing with colleagues, is becoming increasingly important. Lenovo takes this into account with monitors specially designed for this purpose. The VoIP series models are equipped with a webcam, infrared sensor, speakers and noise-cancelling microphones.

< p class="p text-width">The VoIP series consists of the models T27hv-30 with 27 inches and T24mv-30 and T24v-30, each with around 24 inches. They all have an IPS panel in common, which in the case of the T27hv-30 has a resolution of 2,560 × 1,440 pixels; the 24-inch models only have Full HD with 1,920 × 1,080.

The camera bar on the upper edge is equipped with a 5 megapixel webcam (2,592 × 1,944) on the T27hv-30 and T24mv-30 models, while the entry-level model T24v-30 only has 2 megapixels (Full HD). All of them have an infrared and an RGB sensor. A login via face recognition via Windows Hello is always supported. This also applies to the privacy shutter, a physical protection against unwanted recordings. Speakers and microphones are also integrated.

The better equipped models T27hv-30 and T24mv-30 can also offer HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 In/Out, USB-C with 90 watts, Ethernet and ambient light sensor. The T24v-30 only has HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, no USB-C and no sensors either.

According to the equipment, the T27hv-30 costs the most at 559 euros. The smaller counterpart, the T24mv-30, will be available for 399 euros. With significant reductions in the equipment, the T24v-30 still costs 299 euros. Lenovo states availability as May or June 2023.
