The Government offers, as we well know, incentives for the purchase of new cars. Even local administrations can decide to distribute their Ecobonuses to help citizens change their old and polluting car. In the past we have seen the incentives provided by Milan, while now it is; the turn of those of the cities; of Genoa and La Speziawho have made a fund available to their citizens to help them buy a new car. We remind you that these local incentives can be added to the national ones. Let's go into the details.
GENOA
The incentives are aimed at private citizens, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, self-employed workers with a VAT number and third sector entities. Overall, over 18 million euros have been allocated in three years(3,100,000 in 2022, 6,137,500 for 2023 and 8,925,000 for 2024). The question may be be forwarded from 22 December (until 31 December 2024 or until funds run out) but for those interested, the advice is to read the announcement issued by the Municipality which contains all the details for accessing the grant.
The interesting thing is that it is necessary to read the notice issued by the Municipality. that the incentives are not available only for cars but also for eBikes and scooters/motorcycles, even electric ones.
For individuals, the maximum amount that can be granted is: 800 euros for the purchase of hybrid and electric, hybrid and electric e-bikes, motorcycles and scooters; €9,000 for electric and hydrogen vehicles, €6,000 for a 6D-temp hybrid or later; 5,000 euros for methane, LPG, petrol-methane, petrol-LPG euro 6D-temp or later; 4,000 euros for Euro 6D-temp gasoline or later and Euro 6D-temp diesel or later.
Attention, however, in order to obtain the incentive intended for cars, it is necessary to clear the car. necessary scrapping an old petrol (up to Euro 1) or diesel (up to Euro 5) car. Furthermore, the incentive will not be able to apply. exceed 40% of the expenditure incurred. The model purchased with the contribution of the municipality will go; kept for at least 3 years.
For the incentives dedicated to scooter motorbikes, the scrapping foresees this scheme:
- mopeds and motorcycles with an emission category lower than or equal to Euro 1
- mopeds and motorcycles with two-stroke internal combustion engines of a category lower than or equal to Euro 2
For the contribution intended for eBikes, there is no subsidy. the need; to scrap an old vehicle.
For companies, VAT numbers and third sector entities, the non-refundable contribution is paid. granted for the purchase of up to 5 vehicles. The scheme is the following.
9,000 euros for electric and hydrogen vehicles, electric and hydrogen commercial vehicles up to 1.3 tons; 6,000 euros for hybrids and commercial vehicles up to 1.3 tonnes of hybrids, methane and petrol-methane; €5,000 for methane, petrol-methane and LPG, petrol-LPG, commercial vehicles up to 1.3 tonnes, electric, hydrogen and petrol-LPG; 4,000 euro for petrol and diesel euro 6D-temp or later, commercial vehicles up to 1.3 tonnes petrol and diesel euro 6D-temp or later; 800 euros for hybrid and electric mopeds and motorcycles and for pedal-assisted or electric-drive cargo bikes.
Again, there's a way to go. the obligation of scrapping as evidenced by the announcement of the Municipality.
LA SPEZIA
The Municipality of La Spezia has instead made available 3 million 700 thousand euros in two years (2.68 million euros for 2022 and 946,000 euros for 2023) for individuals, businesses, VAT numbers, taxi drivers and rental with driver. The question can be asked already present and there will be time until September 30, 2023 (or until funds run out).
The scheme of contributions ’ very similar to that of the municipality of Genoa and allows you to always get up to 9,000 euros for the purchase of new electric cars. Also in this case the funds are valid for e-bikes and motorbikes/scooters. In any case, the incentive granted to the beneficiary citizens cannot be granted. exceed 40% of the expenditure incurred for the purchase of the vehicle.
Obviously, it will be uploaded. it is always necessary to scrap an old vehicle.

, with brand new vehicles with a lower environmental impact, such as pure electric, hydrogen fueled or Euro 6 homologation class vehicles, ensuring the improvement of at least two homologation emission classes in the event of scrapping a vehicle of homologation class equal to or lower than Euro 4, or at least 1 class in the case of scrapping a Euro 5 class vehicle.
The Municipality also offers contributions for businesses. This is the pattern.
