When Kanye West brought the right-wing profiler Nick Fuentes – who is called an anti-Semite in the media – to a dinner with Donald Trump at the end of November, it raised great uproar.
Apparently, Trump did not know Fuentes from before, despite the fact that the 24-year-old profile appears as perhaps the ex-president's biggest supporter and admirer.
Donald Trump is known to largely avoid saying negative things about people who support him. But now he seems to be making an exception.
On Friday, the 76-year-old politician gave a speech to a group of Orthodox Jews in Florida. He then participated in an interview with Breitbart News, which asked questions about the dinner and Fuentes.
Among other things, he was asked if people like Nick Fuentes, who spreads so-called racist and anti-Semitic views, have any place in the Republican Party or the Trump movement.
– No, they haven't. Nobody has a malicious attitude towards people, Trump replied.
At the same time, he emphasized again that he did not know Nick Fuentes beforehand and that the media coverage of the dinner has been “very, very unfair”.
