The DAN C4-SFX, which was developed partly on the basis of feedback from the ComputerBase forum, goes into production. The larger version of the small housing is being built. The reason for the decision is the greatly increased dimensions of current graphics cards – even a GeForce RTX 4090 now fits into the case.
In addition, the C4-SFX grows somewhat in length and width, which brings the volume compared to the first version from 12.7 to 14.7 liters, each calculated without feet. In return, triple-slot GPUs are now available with a length of 340 millimeters and a width of 148 millimeters, models with a width of 3.9 slots can be installed up to a length of 336 millimeters and a width of 137 millimeters.
DAN Cases illustrates the effects on product images, where a GeForce RTX 4090 in the reference design is shown in the case. In addition to the reference design, numerous partner cards with even larger coolers now fit due to the increase in volume. There is a compatibility list in the ComputerBase forum, among others.

Cooling from the right and above
In addition, the C4-SFX now accommodates 145 millimeter high CPU coolers. The models recommended by the manufacturer include the first tower coolers with 120 mm fans, such as the Thermalright True Spirit 120 M or the Silver Arrow 130.
The power supply is placed in front of the mainboard behind the front and blows air downwards, up to two 2.5″ HDDs are placed behind the front panel. Because DAN Cases inverts the layout, the graphics card sits above the motherboard and can be ventilated through the top of the midget case. Depending on the size of the GPU cooler, two 120 mm or 140 mm fans can be used there, two more fans fit in the right side panel. If water cooling with two radiators is used, this should also be easier with the larger version of the C4.

In a next step, the now final version of the case goes into production. The manufacturer is targeting the retail market launch for the end of the first quarter of 2023.
