Epic Games is shutting down online services for a number of older games, including titles from the Rock Band and Unreal Tournament series. Without a server, some will only be playable offline and others will no longer be playable at all.
Services outdated, only Epic Online Services in the future
According to the official announcement from Epic Games, the gradual shutdown of “outdated online services and servers for many older games in the Epic family” has already begun. In the future, only Epic's online services with their “uniform friend system, voice chat functions, parental controls and parental verification” will be supported. The old systems do not offer this scope.
List of affected games
By January 24, 2023, all online services for the games listed below should have been completely discontinued.

- Dance Central 1-3 (Dance Central VR Online Multiplayer remains available)
- Green Day: Rock Band
- Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess
- Rock Band 1 -3 (Rock Band 4 Online Multiplayer remains available)
- The Beatles: Rock Band
- Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
- Unreal Gold
- Unreal II: The Awakening
- Unreal Tournament 2003
- Unreal Tournament 2004
- Unreal Tournament 3 (online features to return via Epic*)

Sales will be discontinued
For those games that were still available for purchase, distribution will be discontinued at the same time. These should be removed from any digital store and the sale of DLCs in the game disabled.
The Mac and Linux versions of Hatoful Boyfriend and Hatoful are not included in the list Boyfriend: Holiday Star and mobile title DropMix: All have been removed from stores. However, owners can still play them.
These games will no longer be playable
For the title Battle Breakers, on the other hand, the final end is coming, because on December 30th the title will no longer be playable. In-game purchases via Epic Direct Payment that go back a maximum of 180 days should be refunded.
Unreal will also become completely unplayable from January 24, 2023 Tournament (Alpha), Rock Band Blitz, Rock Band Companion App and SingSpace.
