EKWB's EK-Quantum Vector² RX 7900 XTX D-RGB for the new AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (test) can already be pre-ordered in the Slovenian manufacturer's shop. According to the manufacturer, the water cooling system will not be delivered until February 2023.
Water cooler with a discreet appearance
The EK-Quantum Vector² RX 7900 XTX D-RGB “AMD Radeon Edition” is completely black and has only subtle (A)RGB lighting, which sets the scene for the viewing window of the full-cover water block in colour. The 1.5-slot high water cooler has a black anodized aluminum rear panel and a base that is CNC-milled from nickel-plated electrolytic copper and on which a small logo of the manufacturer is discreetly attached.

The manufacturer describes the relevant product features of the 285 × 134 × 27 mm on the official product page as follows:
- The Vector² GPU water block use a 9-mm thick copper coldplate with a directly attached acetal terminal and a robust single O-ring top design.
- Each Vector² water block comes with a CNC-machined black-anodized backplate.
- The backplates also include captive nickel-plated mounting screws to replace the original black ones.
- Quantum Vector² RX 7900 XTX D-RGB “AMD Radeon Edition” water blocks and backplates are compatible with AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPUs with a reference PCB layout.
- The EK Cooling Configurator will be updated regularly with AIB partner PCBs and models as new info comes in.

The manufacturer also points out that the fin density has been increased from 0.6 mm/0.4 mm to 0.4 mm/0.26 mm in relation to previous heat sinks in order to meet the greatly increased power loss required by the new graphics core The as well as the six memory cache dies (“MCD”) must be taken into account.
For the time being exclusively for the reference design
At the current time, the water blocks are officially released exclusively for the reference design of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX distributed by AMD. In addition, the manufacturer plans to offer adapted versions for a large number of the most popular custom designs.

According to EKWB, the EK-Quantum Vector² RX 7900 XTX D-RGB “AMD Radeon Edition” cools not only the RDNA 3-based Navi-31 graphics processor but also the GDDR6 graphics memory, the voltage converters and the voltage controller and thus all relevant components of the graphics card.

In its press release, EKWB promises delivery from February 10, 2023 and is already offering the water cooler at a price of EUR 325.90 in advance via its online shop.
