PowerColor, AMD's second major exclusive partner alongside Sapphire, has officially unveiled its two upcoming graphics card spearheads, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Red Devil and the Radeon RX 7900 XT Red Devil, as well as their feature sets . In addition to the regular versions, limited editions with a “Lava” backplate are also available.
The red devils follow the hellhounds
< p class="p text-width">After PowerColor released the first product images of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT from the Hellhound and Red Devil series at the end of November and the Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Hellhound was officially presented at the beginning of the month the manufacturer is now presenting its new top models based on the new RDNA 3 microarchitecture, which represent the upper end of the portfolio.

Even if the clock frequencies such as base and boost clock as well as possible higher manufacturer-specific TDP values or power limits will be available by the release of the graphics cards on April 13. December will remain under wraps for the time being by AMD, the exclusive partner is already revealing the first key data.
The Red Devil offers a little bit more of everything
While the Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Hellhound opted for 20 phases and 2 × 8-pin, PowerColor gave the Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Red Devil a total of 21 phases and 3 × 8-pin for theoretically up to 525 watts and 516 watts respectively.
- 8 × 6 mm heatpipes
- 14-layer custom PCB
- 21-phase voltage modulation
- 91×89×2.6mm direct-touch copper board
- LED, OC switch for RGB lighting and BIOS
- New fans in an optimized 9-blade design
- 3 × 8-pin PCIe 4.0 connectors
Due to the even more powerful 3.0 slot to 3.5 slot high cooling solution with three new fans in the new “9-blade design”, which should keep the graphics card 3 degrees Celsius cooler than the previous generation based on the RDNA 2 architecture , the two new Red Devils are delivered with a corresponding GPU support, which as an integral part of the graphics card connects the I/O area and the PCB.

Meanwhile obligatory for current gaming graphics cards, a correspondingly extensive RGB lighting should not be missing, which runs around the cooling solution and also illuminates the small logo of the series.
Limited Edition with Lava Backplate
Besides the regular models, PowerColor will introduce the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Red Devil and the Radeon RX 7900 XT Red Devil will also be available as Limited Editions, which will have a special backplate in a lava design.
The end plate is designed magnetically and should therefore be particularly easy to replace. The logo of the model series is once again particularly strikingly highlighted by means of a red viewing window and the RGB lighting.
