Domestic. The chairman of the justice committee Richard Jomshof (SD) wants to introduce a veil ban in the police, reports Expressen.

– The whole point of having a uniform in the police or military is that it should be uniform – i.e. uniform. If you allow religious or political markers, it is no longer a uniform because then it is not uniform, says Jomshof to the newspaper.
According to Richard Jomshof, “the time is ripe” for a discussion with the government about pushing through a ban.
– I think so, that it should be, he says.
A headscarf ban should, by extension, apply to all public employees in Sweden, according to Jomshof.
