As part of the Game Awards 2022, the Japanese game developer Hideo Kojima announced the sequel to the dystopian end-time action game Death Stranding (test) exclusively for the PlayStation 5 (test). As with its predecessor, the founder, CEO and chief developer of Kojima Productions will lead the developments himself.
Death Stranding 2 is again a matter for the boss

While rumors abounded in the run-up to the announcement that Kojima would turn to other game projects and step down as head of development on Death Stranding 2, the creator of Metal Gear Solid reassured the public and confirmed that he would be back on DS2 will play a leading role in the development.
Again with a large array of stars
A first trailer, which is typically cryptic for Kojima Productions, doesn't reveal much about Death Stranding 2.
- Among other things, you can see the main protagonist Sam Porter Bridges, a delivery man who, like in the first part of the series, is played by actor Norman Reedus and who is clearly aged.
- The character of Fragile, who, like in the first part of Death Stranding, is played by the actress Léa Seydoux, is once again part of the game in the sequel.
- Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna are also involved and Troy Baker has already been confirmed by Hideo Kojima.
- Guillermo del Toro and Mads Mikkelsen, also appearing in the first part, have not yet been confirmed.
- The chief developer confirmed that the title “Death Stranding 2” is a “working title” for the time being. It is not yet known what the game will finally be called.
The babies, which already served as a kind of key in Death Stranding to unlock beings from ” the other side” are also part of the game again in Death Stranding 2 and once again play a central role in the game.
(For now) exclusively for the PlayStation 5
The action game was (for the time being) announced exclusively for the PlayStation 5, but like the first part it could also appear later for the PC. However, a release for the Xbox Series X|S (test) and the previous generation of consoles can be ruled out.
Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions gave information about a possible release date during the announcement not.
