The age of “smaller” gaming monitors with OLED panels has only just begun. Asus also wants to get involved next year and is preparing a 27-inch OLED monitor with WQHD (2,560 × 1,440) and 240 Hz with the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM. Details will probably not be available until CES 2023.
On Twitter, Asus draws attention to the new monitor via its ROG channel for gaming products. Aside from buzzwords like “1440p Endgame Monitor,” there are real details to be seen alongside the key figures mentioned.

An LED display in the base (in the video with Swift lettering), RGB lighting elements on the back of the display and a new type of control panel on the lower, rear edge of the display can be seen. The logo projector under the three-legged stand is already familiar from many other models in the series.

Same panel as LG 27GR95QE?
The key data are reminiscent of the recently introduced LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B, which is scheduled to start in the USA in the first quarter of 2023 for $999. It is at least very likely that Asus uses the same OLED panel. The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM will be presented in more detail at CES 2023.
Much more OLED selection next year
The Project 491C from MSI can also be expected at CES. Behind it is a very wide 49-inch monitor with a curved QD OLED panel, which also works at up to 240 Hz.
