In the words of the CEO, it is “very obvious” and yet it has only now been confirmed that the sci-fi role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 (test) is a game-of-the-year edition (GOTY) will give. Adam Kiciński, head of the development studio CD Projekt, has since confirmed this at an investor conference in Poland.

According to a report by the Polish business magazine Stockwatch.pl, Kiciński has within limits a presentation at the GPW Innovation Day that confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY. However, the CEO is quoted as saying that it is “quite obvious” that such a version of the game, which was first published on December 10, 2020, will come. As with The Witcher, this is just the “natural order of things”, is the machine translation of his statements quoted in Polish.

Logically after the release of the expansion planned for 2023 Phantom Liberty and a big update the GOTY edition should appear. This will include the paid expansion in addition to the main game at “full price”. It is conceivable that the GOTY edition will take over the regular price of the main game and the normal version without DLC will be cheaper.

It can be assumed that the GOTY -version will only be available for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Because the expansion will only appear for these systems and not for the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One. Google Stadia is also out of the running as the game streaming service will be shut down on January 18, 2023.
