Domestic. All public employees in Sweden must be obliged to report illegal immigrants to the authorities. They state the chairman of the justice committee Richard Jomshof (SD) for Arbetet.

According to a point in the Tidö agreement, municipalities and authorities are obliged to inform the Migration Agency and the police if they come into contact with people who are in Sweden illegally.
Which professional groups are to be covered by however, the obligation to report has been unclear, and Arbetet has put the question to Migration Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) and Justice Committee Chairman Richard Jomshof (SD).
Richard Jomshof answers “all public employees” to the question.
< p>Maria Malmer Stenergard, on the other hand, replies that she wants to wait for an upcoming investigation. According to her, however, there may be cases where reporting would be contrary to “sensitive values”, for example in healthcare.
