The eternal alpha version of the crowd-financed space game Star Citizen can be played for free until the end of November. As part of the virtual spaceship fair Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), everyone can try out the more than 120 ships and vehicles.

For several years now, the IAE has been held once a year as in-game event. The real calendar year 2022 is the year 2952 in the game, so this time the virtual fair is called IAE 2952.

Until November 30th, both existing players and newcomers can use the try the entire fleet for free. However, prior registration with an RSI account is required to download the game.

Even after more than 10 years of development and income of over 500 million US dollars via crowdfunding Star Citizen is still in the incomplete alpha state. However, the game is also considered one of the most ambitious projects in this segment and aims to become a particularly extensive sc-fi MMO. Nevertheless, the sluggish progress is causing a lot of negative criticism.
