With the UltraGear 27GR95QE-B, LG has presented a 27-inch monitor with an OLED display that uses the WQHD resolution with 2,560 × 1,440 pixels in the classic 16:9 format and offers a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. In the US, the suggested retail price is US$999.

Gaming-size OLED

With its size of 27 inches and the technical specifications, the UltraGear 27GR95QE-B is special because gamers have been waiting for smaller OLED monitors with high refresh rates for a long time. So far, the market has only offered 42 and 48-inch OLED displays with 4K resolution or 34-inch monitors in ultrawide format with 3,440 × 1,440 pixels and 165 to 175 Hz refresh rate. With the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240, a 45-inch model with UWQHD resolution of 3,440 × 1,440 pixels in 21:9 format and 240 Hz will also be added shortly, which can be bent by the user himself.

Not all specifications known yet

In addition to AMD FreeSync Premium, the display also supports Nvidia G-Sync without using a G-Sync module. LG specifies the typically low response time for OLED panels as 0.3 ms grey-to-grey.

According to LG, the display covers 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. However, the specifications so far do not contain any information on the brightness of the display. And even if LG does not provide any information on the power consumption, it is already known that the external power supply unit can provide a maximum of 110 watts.

In terms of connections, LG has two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort, two USB ports and two audio connections without naming standards and speeds for the video inputs.

Height adjustment, pivot and RGB

The stand allows a height adjustment of 11 cm, but can only Rotate 10 degrees in each direction and tilt -5 to +15°. The 27GR95QE-B also supports pivot to operate the display upright. The monitor does not have integrated speakers. However, RGB lighting is integrated on the back.

No listing for Germany yet

It is not yet known when and at what price the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B will come to Germany. Unlike the US website, LG's German website has not yet listed the monitor. The monitor should actually only be available in stores in the USA in the course of the first quarter of 2023. It can be assumed that further details for CES 2023 will be announced in Las Vegas in early January.
