Domestic. Holocaust survivor Hédi Fried has died, the family tells Dagens Nyheter.

Hédi Fried was born into a Jewish family in Sighet in Romania in 1924. When the city was occupied by the Germans, she was sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp and then to Bergen-Belsen.
In July 1945 she came to Sweden, where she worked as a psychologist, author and lecturer with a focus on the Holocaust.
In recent years, Hédi Fried has been noticed for her opposition to the Sweden Democrats. In 2018, she stated that M leader Ulf Kristersson had given her a promise that he would never “agree to any collusion with SD”.
Hédi Fried turned 98.
