Domestic. Demand for vaccines against the coronavirus has fallen rapidly in Sweden and now the country is forced to rent cold rooms in Germany after the government signed an agreement with Pfizer-Biontech about vaccines that nobody wants.

Since the vaccine rate has decreased, the cold rooms in which the vaccine needs to be stored have already been filled up, reports Ekot.

– We have a number of vaccine deliveries coming to us, but lack the storage capacity, says Jakob Forssmed, Minister of Social Affairs (KD) and adds that in this way you reduce the risk of having to throw away the expensive vaccine.

Sweden receives supplies of the vaccine through a – for Pfizer-Biontech – very lucrative agreement that has been negotiated forward at EU level.
