Telekom subsidiary fraenk will increase the basic data volume to 7 GB per month from December 6th. Previously, the data volume in the 10-euro tariff was 5 GB per month, but this could be increased by 1 GB per month for each customer referred through the “fraenk for friends” advertising program. Existing customers now also get 2 GB more on a permanent basis.
Additional volume is retained even after the changeover
Additional data volume that existing customers have already collected via “fraenk for friends” is retained even after the adjustment. For example, if an existing customer currently has 7 gigabytes of monthly inclusive volume, they will now receive 9 gigabytes per month. The price will not change for existing or new customers either, and the contract can still be canceled on a monthly basis. For 10 euros a month, customers in a fully app-based mobile phone contract from fraenk receive LTE 25, i.e. surf with a maximum of 25 Mbit/s, as well as a telephony and SMS flat rate in all German networks as well as WLAN calling and EU roaming including Switzerland. Special phone numbers, Premium SMS and MMS cannot be used with fraenk. In addition, international calls and SMS are not possible. Immediately after the announcement of the change, fraenk informed all existing customers via email about the additional data volume.
Advertising campaign until December 5
With a special campaign until December 5th, fraenk would like to persuade interested parties to conclude a contract before December 6th. If you book fraenk by December 5th, you will get the first month for free and also 1 GB of data volume for free, so that you can use 8 GB per month from December 6th. To do this, the action code “OKCOOL” must be redeemed when booking.
One tariff with the same data volume for everyone
According to its own statements, fraenk is reacting to feedback from its own customers, who need more traffic every month, by increasing the monthly data volume. fraenk does not offer an option to book a higher inclusive data volume for a surcharge – there is one tariff for all customers. There is only the option of purchasing 2 GB of extra data for 5 euros or a 24 GB data pass for 24 hours if there is a specific need.
