Domestic. The Riksdag parties previously agreed to stop grants to associations with politically incorrect elements – so-called extremism – by tightening the controversial democracy clause in the Grants Act. But now the tightening is postponed to the future, writes TT.

The envisaged rules would, among other things, make it possible to stop state grants to the grant society's organizations if individual representatives said something critical of immigration, anti-Semitic, homophobic or similar.
The tightening was intended to secure political correctness of organized Muslims and other immigrant associations with contributions, but since it emerged that the free church movement could also be affected by the tougher rules, support began to crack at the joints of KD's grassroots.
– There have been objections from various quarters , says Minister of Social Affairs Jakob Forssmed (KD) to TT today.
Today, the requirement to receive grants is that the organization “contributes to maintaining and strengthening the values on which society rests”, which in court practice has, among other things, considered to mean that one may not invite anti-Semitic lecturers to Muslim book fairs and the like. But the government wanted to see a tightening, which is now put on hold.
According to the Security Police, a fairly large number of organizations with a lack of value base still receive grants.
