The cheapest streaming stick from Roku, the Roku SE, is now coming to Germany in a new color. Aldi Nord will be offering the white Roku SE exclusively from now until November 22 in its own branches for EUR 17.99. So far, the model, which is priced below the Roku Express, was not available in Germany.
Limited availability via Aldi Nord
In the USA, the Roku SE was already offered in a white version via Walmart at the end of 2018, which is now coming to Germany via Aldi Nord. Roku also speaks of a limited edition for this offer, so the Roku SE will not be freely available from Aldi Nord after the end of the offer.
Roku himself sees the location of the Roku SE on the second television. It is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable and receives power via micro-USB. Like all Roku streaming players, the Roku SE is powered by the Roku operating system and comes with a customizable start screen and a universal search across the most important channels. Like the Roku Express, the Roku SE comes with a remote control, but it can also be operated using the Roku Mobile app on your smartphone.

On the differences between the Roku SE and the Roku Apart from the color, there is no official information. In the menu, both models then also show the same model name 3900RW, as customers in the USA have reported. There are no differences between the two models. The Roku SE is therefore also suitable for maximum Full HD without HDR.
4K-HDR at Roku from 34 euros
The Roku Express for Full HD content and with a simple remote control has a recommended retail price of 29.99 euros and is also available in stores at this price* – it costs the same as the Amazon Fire TV Lite*, but which offers a voice remote control. It is therefore significantly more expensive with identical hardware and software. The Roku Express 4K for UHD content with HDR and a voice remote control is available from around 34 euros*. The Roku Streaming Stick 4K, which also offers Dolby Vision and a voice remote control with TV compatibility, costs 55 euros*.
