Lian Li would like to “set stylish new standards” with its new 120 mm and 140 mm RGB fans from the Uni Fan SL V2 series, according to the Taiwanese manufacturer as part of the presentation of the overall four fans. Among other things, these should convince with a “unique” connector system, daisy chain and ≤ 29.2 dB(A).
(A)RGB -Lighting stays within limits
Even before the technical implementation or even the specifications come into play, the four new fans of the Uni Fan SL V2 series, like their predecessors, are particularly noticeable due to their appearance, in the form of a visually rather discreetly staged (A)RGB lighting . In this case, the 32 digitally addressable LEDs are literally in the frame when they appear, as the manufacturer demonstrates in its product video.
Lian Li outlines the highlights of the new fan series, which includes four fans, the 120s and 140s of which are to be placed both in cases and on radiators, as follows.

Daisy-Chain connector system saves Cable
The plug-in system, which uses a daisy chain to connect several Uni Fan SL V2 120 or 140 in series and combine them into a cluster, is intended to make it particularly easy to control several fans using just one cable. The ARGB lighting and the speed curve are configured using the in-house software L-Connect 3 and a controller for up to 16 fans.

While the Lian Li Uni Fan SL V2 120 operates at a speed of 250 to 2,000 rpm, the Lian Li Uni Fan SL V2 140 can be operated in a corridor from 250 to 1,600 rpm. In both cases, the starting voltage is 5 volts, while regular operation is 12 volts. According to the manufacturer, the power consumption is 2.04 watts (120 mm) and 1.32 watts (140 mm).
