Gigabyte starts the round of the GeForce RTX 4080 in custom design with seven models. The range extends from the non-overclocked RTX 4080 Eagle with air cooler to the Aorus RTX 4080 Xtreme Waterforce WB with 60 MHz overclocking and water cooler.
The GeForce RTX 4080 with 16 GB GDDR6X memory is Nvidia's second model from the new generation with an Ada Lovelace GPU after the GeForce RTX 4090 (test). The market launch is not scheduled to take place until November 16, but Gigabyte has already revealed its line-up in detail on its own website.
With water cooler there is 60 MHz more clock
At the top and in the focus of the press release is the Aorus RTX 4080 16GB Xtreme Waterforce WB, which is equipped with a water cooler for integration into an existing circuit (custom loop). At 23.5 cm, it is significantly shorter than the air-cooled models and, at 2.9 cm deep, it is significantly thinner. The factory boost clock is 2,565 MHz, which is 60 MHz higher than Nvidia's reference specification.

Without the suffix “WB” (Water Block), the Xtreme Waterforce is also available with complete water cooling (AiO), which comes with its own 360 mm radiator.
Otherwise three fans and at least 34 cm are set
At the pinnacle of air-cooled solutions is the Aorus RTX 4080 Master, which is overclocked to 2,550MHz. The huge cooler with three fans increases the dimensions to 35.7 cm in length and 7.5 cm in depth – that gets tight in some cases. Away from the Aorus brand, the RTX 4080 Gaming OC is only 34.2 cm long with only 30 MHz overclocking. The RTX 4080 Aero OC offers the same clock in eye-catching white. The dimensions of this and the entry-level models of the Eagle series (with and without OC) are identical to the master model.

The connections are also unanimous, but on all models: The new (scandalous) 12VHPWR Connection with a total of 16 pins is always set. There are also no exceptions when it comes to the video outputs, with three DisplayPort 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1.
There are still no price recommendations for the GeForce RTX 4080 from Gigabyte. The manufacturer's product pages provide further information.
