The month of October 2022 for the Italian auto market & egrave; was positive with a growth of 14.6% compared to the same period of 2021. Despite the plus sign, the segment of electric is; still in red . In fact, in October just 3,695 BEV cars were registered against 7,123 units & agrave; of 2021. This is a loss , in terms of volume, even 48.1% .
Looking at the first 10 months of the ; year, 39,780 electric cars were registered against 54,364 units & agrave; in the same period of 2021. In this case, it is a contraction of 26.8%. As of October 2022, the share of BEVs on the Italian auto market is; was 3.1% against 6.9% last year.
If electric cars in our country are having difficulties, the Plug-ins, on the other hand, did well in October. In terms of volume, in fact, they closed the period with a growth of 17.4% (6,116 registrations against 5,209 in 2021). HEV hybrids continue to do well. Thanks to a growth in terms of volume of 18.3%, they can count on a market share of 36.3% in October.

ELECTRIC CARS: TOP 10 OF OCTOBER 2022 
In the top 10 of electric pi & ugrave; sold in October 2022 in Italy, we find the Smart EQ fortwo in first place with 468 registrations. The small electric continues to be highly appreciated by Italian customers. In second place comes the Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric and in third place the electric Fiat 500. To signal the sixth place of the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric and the seventh of the Volkswagen ID.3.
So, overall, as already; mentioned at the beginning, only 3,695 BEV models were registered in October 2022.

HYBRID CARS: TOP 10 OF OCTOBER 2022 
Let's move on to HEV hybrid cars. As usual, we remind you that the ranking includes both Full Hybrid and Mild Hybrid models . In the first place we always find the Fiat Panda which with 7,070 registrations precedes the Lancia Ypsilon with 3,328 units. Third step of the podium for the Ford Puma. Also noteworthy is the fourth place of the Toyota Yaris Cross and the fifth of the Fiat 500.
Overall, 42,646 HEV hybrid cars were registered in October 2022, equal to a market share of 36.3%.
