Black music entrepreneur and billionaire Kanye West has been censored by Twitter and other social media giants and accused of being anti-Semitic.
It started when he posed in a “White lives matter” shirt earlier in October. After being attacked by a series of Jews, West vowed in a post on Twitter to “go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE”. He appeared to be referring to the military term “defcon”, a five-level preparedness scale used by the US Ministry of Defence.
In an interview with another rapper on YouTube, Kanye West then lashed out at Jews, whom he accuses of controlling successful blacks like himself. The interview was then removed and the black presenter had to apologize in front of the camera.
Another person who has got involved in the row is the British TV personality Piers Morgan. He has now interviewed Kanye West to get him to apologize for his statements about Jews. The clip is not a little reminiscent of a disobedient child who has to be taught a lesson by an adult.
However, the result was not so successful. Instead, West started laughing when Morgan accused him of speaking “racistly”.
– That's why I said it. I fight fire with fire, Kanye West responded.
However, he apologized to any people not involved who were hurt by the “death con 3” post.
Piers Morgan wrote earlier in October on Twitter that it is not an attack on freedom of speech that Kanye West is censored by social media, but a “justified suppression of vile, indefensible incitement against a group of people”.
