On Wednesday, the Skellefteå district court convicted the man of both attempted murder and aggravated rape of a child, after he assaulted the 9-year-old girl in July.
The girl was badly injured during the assault and was suspended for a long time between life and death. She has suffered permanent injuries.
Due to Abushi's young age, he cannot be deported despite being convicted of both crimes. He also cannot receive any prison sentence, because he is under 18.
Possibly, he can also avoid closed youth care because he will now undergo a major forensic psychiatric examination, to assess what penalty may be relevant, reports Echo.
