Rebecka Fallenkvist, one of the main profiles in SD's video channel Riks, has been removed from service and is being investigated by the party.
The background is that Jewish organizations criticized a post Fallenkvist signed Instagram. There she commented that she had read Anne Frank's diary.
“50 pages in and so far Anne Frank has only struck me as immoral. Horniness itself,” wrote the Riks profile.
On social media media, opinions differ on whether it was inappropriate to write as Fallenkvist did. Some have pointed out that SVT themselves have reported on “freaks and thoughts about sex” in the diary in question, which exists in two versions. One version contains more sexual content than the other, but it is unclear which version the Riks profile had read when she wrote the post.
In SVT's Agenda on Sunday evening, SD leader Jimmie Åkesson was pressured by the female the presenter, who stated that Fallenkvist has “dishonored Anne Frank”.
Åkesson replied:
– People say stupid things all the time. Then she herself tried to explain this in different ways, which is perhaps a reasonable explanation, but I think it's a reprehensible way to express herself.
During Sunday, a series of international media wrote about Rebecka Fallenkvist's comment. Israel's ambassador to Sweden, Ziv Nevo Kulman, has joined those who condemn Fallenkvist's post. On Twitter, he calls the post a “disgusting insult, disrespectful to the memory of Anne Frank”.
