Domestic. The asylum migration to Sweden will continue as before with the SD-backed government that will take office shortly. This is evident from a new agreement between SD and the bourgeois parties in the government documents, called the Tidö Agreement, which can be read here.

The Sweden Democrats do not even describe the agreement itself as an agreement on reduced asylum immigration, but instead use the word choice “another asylum immigration” to give the impression that major changes are now expected.
– There will will be a completely different asylum immigration than before, says Sweden Democrats group leader Henrik Vinge in a comment to Aftonbladet.
In concrete terms, however, there is not much in the agreement that can be expected to lead to any difference in immigrationpolicy. However, the number of quota refugees must be reduced to 900 per year and, just as under the previous Löfven-led government, it is stated that immigration must be carried out at the EU's minimum level.
“Sweden must not in any respect be more generous in its outlook on asylum than what follows as obligations under EU law or other legally binding international treaties,” the agreement says.
However, this only applies to the view on asylum. The view on, for example, grants to asylum seekers can continue to be more generous, and thus attract more people to Sweden.
SD has received a promise from the government to “investigate” the possibility of deporting immigrants due to “lack of character”, which according to the agreement refers to foreigners who engage in prostitution, drug abuse or have extreme right-wing views, among other things. However, going on benefits does not count as a lack of character.
Foreigners must also be able to be deported “if there are otherwise unequivocally established remarks regarding the way of life”, it is stated in the settlement with the government. What this means, however, is unclear.
The government also promises to “investigate” how so-called voluntary re-migration can be stimulated and whether asylum seekers can stay in transit centers while their asylum application is being examined. However, the latter question, when it comes to closed centers, has already been decided by the European Court of Justice and the answer is no.
The most significant change is probably that the wage floor for labor immigration is raised to the median wage in Sweden, which is SEK 33,200 before tax. In practice, this should stop the immigration of Third World workers from India and the like, an immigration that is extensive today.
Despite the fact that the SD generally only gets through promises that various investigations will be appointed, according to Henrik Vinge own report on how much impact the parity policy had in the agreement.
– This is beyond expectation. It is very good, he says.
Many SD voters are probably instead surprised at how little is now being done about immigration, given that SD is the largest party in the incoming government.
