The decision means a ban on driving ships, anchoring, diving, fishing, driving underwater vehicles or carrying out geophysical mapping.

– The investigation continues, we are in an intensive stage. We have good cooperation with several authorities in the matter. I understand the great public interest, but we are at the beginning of a preliminary investigation and I cannot therefore go into details about which investigative measures we are taking, says Chamber prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist in a press release.

A new overflight at 18- time on Monday evening showed, according to the Coast Guard, that what was previously described as the larger spill from Nord Stream 1 was still not visible on the surface. The discharge from Nord Stream 2 amounted to between 15 and 20 meters on the same occasion. According to the authority, this means that there is still an ongoing release, albeit a small one.

At the end of last week, it emerged that the Swedish Navy's ship had moved in the area of the leaks in the days before the suspected attacks. The Swedish ships turned off their so-called AIS transmitters, which make them traceable, when they approached the very areas where the gas pipelines run, according to DN.
