Production adjustment: Kioxia lowers NAND wafer production by up to 30 percent

Kioxia will cut production at two major factories in Yokkaichi and Kitakami by 30 percent due to the global sales crisis and high inventories. The manufacturer made it clear that this was a short-term measure in order to react to the current situation. Nothing will change in the long-term timetable.

Kioxia is taking a similar path to Micron. As part of its quarterly report and poor prospects, Micron had announced that it would adjust production for NAND and DRAM, postpone certain new products and reduce spending.
