Foreign. Russian forces are threatened by the encirclement of the Ukrainian military in the town of Lyman in northeastern Ukraine, Reuters reports. The Kremlin-controlled area is now under attack from three sides.

According to the news agency, Lyman is Russia's most important remaining stronghold in northern Donetsk and the road to the Luhansk region would be clear to Ukrainian forces if the city falls.
