“During his time as Speaker, Norlén has shown that he possesses the necessary personal qualities and qualifications that the assignment requires. Norlén has at the same time become widely respected and enjoys a great deal of trust both inside and outside the Riksdag,” writes M in a press release.
The four parties also agree to nominate Julia Kronlid (SD) as second deputy speaker of the Riksdag.
“Kronlid is a respected member of the Riksdag with extensive experience, including as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. The four parties agree that the proportionality principle must be applied in the election of deputy speakers, which would give the three major parties in the Riksdag a fair representation in the Speaker's Presidium,” writes M.
M, SD , KD and L also promise to cast their votes in the election for first vice president and third vice president to let the left appoint them.
The parties have also agreed on the distribution of the committee's presidium positions. SD gets eight out of a total of sixteen presidium posts. M gets four, KD and L get two each.
