AMD has released a new version of its Adrenalin graphics driver, which for the first time officially supports the Ryzen 7000 (“Raphael”) and its integrated graphics unit, an AMD Radeon Graphics with 2 compute units and up to 2.2GHz supported. In addition, the driver is already “Game Ready” for the survival game Grounded.
Support for the iGPU of AMD Ryzen 7000
In the latest version AMD Adrenalin 22.9.2, AMD's graphics driver supports the integrated graphics unit (“iGPU”) of the new desktop processors Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 7700X (test) based on the CPU and GPU architectures Zen 4 and RDNA 2 (test), which the editors already had in the gaming benchmark, as well as the two models Ryzen 9 7900X and Ryzen 5 7600X, which have not yet been tested.
According to the official release notes of Adrenalin 22.9 .2, which follows only a few days after Adrenalin 22.9.1, the optimizations and error corrections that are mandatory with each new release are also included in the new driver.
Unfixed bug fixes include AMD Radeon Super Resolution issues, an upscaling technology based on AMD FSR 1.0 for all games, Nioh 2 with HDR, and persistent RDNA 2 hardware acceleration issues in the browser.
Graphic driver for Grounded in Early Access
In addition, the new graphic driver is already available for the survival-adventure Grounded, which according to the development studio Obsidian Entertainment was released on July 28 in a pre-release version for PC and Xbox One and is still running in Early Access.
According to Obsidian, the game will be available via Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview, Xbox Game Pass and the Microsoft Store. There is a chance to try out the game beforehand via the Xbox Insider program.
